The NY 7s Tournament is a unique phenomenon in New York City – it’s free to come watch!
Parking is free too (though we recommend public transportation). Does it get any better? So come on down for an hour or for the day – there will be non-stop rugby going on from 8:20am – 6pm. Check out the other links on this site for information about directions, schedule, etc. and mark your calendars now – this year’s tournament will be on Saturday, Nov 26, 2011.
Where else in New York City can you go watch an international sporting event for free? If you’re looking for a specific team to watch, you can see when and where they are playing on the schedule which will be posted at least a few days prior to the event.
Sandwiches and sodas etc will be for sale, and you’re welcome to bring your own (NO ALCOHOL PLEASE – THE PARKS PEOPLE ARE CRACKING DOWN AND WILL TAKE OUR PERMITS AWAY IF YOU BREAK THIS RULE!) and make it a late fall picnic. We’ll also have a wide array of rugby gear and T shirts, sweatshirts, etc available for purchase.
So do something different this Thanksgiving weekend – come out to Randall’s and watch some rugby at the New York 7s.
Contact us with any questions.

Friday Night Welcome Reception
THE AUSTRALIAN – 20 W38th Street
We are planning to host to a reception for our out‐of‐town guests over 21 years old on Friday evening November 25th at THE AUSTRALIAN on West 38th Street between Fifth & Sixth Avenues. All are welcome. The Reception starts at 7:00pm and will include drink specials. Great pub fare is available for purchase.
NOTE TO PEOPLE WHO WILL TRY TO GO TO THE UPPER EAST SIDE FRI NIGHT BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT THEY ALWAYS DO AT THE NY 7s: SHIP OF FOOLS has closed! (we know, it’s very sad) So don’t go there…but the good news is that The Australian is owned by the same great people!
SATURDAY NIGHT TOURNAMENT PARTY
The post tournament party will be held Saturday evening November 26th at Connolly’s Pub located in midtown Manhattan at 14 E.47th St. between Fifth & Madison Avenues. The party starts at 8:00pm and free beer will be available for the first hour (8:00-9:00pm). The NYRC will provide finger food, however, it is important to note that this is not intended to be sufficient for your evening meal – we suggest taking advantage of one of the many restaurants in the area for a team dinner before the party! Connolly’s serves some great pub grub and other Irish cuisine (just plan to eat there BEFORE the party starts). The Australian is also a great option for folks who want something a bit more upscale ‐ and for other options, you can also search for just about any restaurant in New York City by price, location, cuisine and more at http://newyork.citysearch.com/
Each team will receive twelve (12) complimentary party tickets to attend the NY 7s Tournament Party. Additional guests are welcome at a rate of $10 each at the door. Please note that state and federal law requires us to limit admission to those 21 or older with proper I.D. Any parents, coaches, staff etc from our U19 guests should ask at the check‐in table for party tickets, as they will not be distributed with the check‐in packets.Proper attire is required to be admitted to the party. Please take showers and dress appropriately. Casual attire is fine, but no sweats or soiled jerseys. You will not be allowed in if you look like you just came off the rugby pitch.
